Last updated: June 8, 2026
K-Popit Media, Inc. ("K-Popit," "we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of k-popit.com and its related subdomains (the "Service") to do the same. This policy describes how to notify us of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. section 512.
1. Reporting Alleged Infringement
If you believe that content on the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, you may send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent (Section 3). To be effective, your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (such as a URL) for us to locate it;
- Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Our Response
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material in question and will make a reasonable effort to notify the person who posted it. We may also remove material we identify as infringing on our own initiative.
3. Designated Copyright Agent
Send DMCA notices to:
DMCA Agent — K-Popit Media, Inc. Attn: Copyright Agent 2160 North Central Road, Suite 110 Fort Lee, NJ 07024, United States Email: dmca@k-popit.com
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our Designated Agent. To be effective, it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
5. Repeat Infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
6. Editorial Use of Third-Party Material
As a news and commentary publication, K-Popit references artist names, photographs, and related materials owned by third parties for the purposes of reporting, criticism, and commentary. This policy does not waive any rights or defenses available to us under applicable law, including fair use.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date.
