South Korean figure skating star Cha Jun-hwan is reaching readers in two countries at once, fronting the July issues of both Singles Korea and Singles Japan.

In the accompanying interview, Cha looks back on his remarkable 17-year career—a grueling stretch that has carried him through three Olympic Games and a long list of injuries without ever taking a real pause.

He spoke candidly about his recent experience at the Milan Winter Olympics. "An injury hit just one or two months out," he recalled, sharing that he felt deeply grateful to have even a month left to prepare. Despite the setback, he emphasized that he "left everything on the ice" during the Games, describing the high-stakes experience as something that ultimately brought him a profound sense of inner calm.

Reflecting on his gold medal performance at the Harbin Asian Winter Games, Cha placed his focus squarely on the process rather than the podium finish. "I've stepped onto the ice hundreds, even thousands of times, but this was the first time it actually felt possible to focus entirely on myself," he said, adding that the rare chance to be that deeply absorbed in his own skating was the most valuable part of the journey.

Away from the competitive circuit, Cha is also stepping into an exciting new chapter. He recently starred in the innovative Solo Leveling on ICE production and shared the news that he is currently co-choreographing a skating program. When asked about his ultimate dream, his answer remained grounded and simple. "To live happily," he said. "Facing whatever each day brings without being afraid, and taking it on. That's what keeps me moving."

Cha's full interview and stunning photo spread are featured in the July issues of Singles Korea and Singles Japan, as well as on the magazine's official website. The Japanese edition will hit shelves at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books and Tsutaya T-SITE locations across Japan, and is also available for global fans through online retailers Ktown4u, kpopalbums, and Sixtrade.
