K-POP Journalist
Minkyung Lee is a specialized K-pop journalist at K-POPIT, where she delivers in-depth analysis of industry trends and high-fidelity reporting on the K-pop landscape. As an active singer-songwriter, Lee offers a unique "inside-out" perspective, bridging the gap between professional musical production and public discourse. Her coverage spans the intersection of K-pop and emerging technologies like AI, intellectual property rights, and the evolving dynamics of the production environment. In August 2025, Lee completed the Advanced Intellectual Property (AIP) program at KAIST, where her research on "Legal Prevention and Remedy for K-pop Artist Tampering" earned her the Top Research Award. Her contributions to the field were further recognized by the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), which honored her with a Press Merit Plaque at the 2025 KOMCA Copyright Awards.
