BTS Teams With Oreo for Limited-Edition Hotteok-Flavored Cookies

BTS is teaming up with Oreo for a limited-edition cookie inspired by one of South Korea's most popular street snacks. The new product, called Hotteok-Flavored Oreo, was developed with direct input from the BTS members themselves. Hotteok is a traditional Korean treat made by frying dough filled with sugar and nuts, often sold from carts at outdoor markets.
The cookies will roll out in more than 80 countries and regions. Inside each sandwich is a sweet cream that tastes like brown sugar, echoing the filling of a classic hotteok. The cookies themselves carry designs the BTS members helped shape. Released to mark the group's 13th debut anniversary, the limited run features member names, the shape of the official light stick known as the ARMY Bomb, and short messages aimed at fans.

The packaging leans into a Korean traditional market concept, pulling together familiar images tied to South Korea. Collecting different cookie designs reveals a hidden message, adding a small treasure-hunt element to the launch. Fans can also scan a QR code on the package or visit the official event site to send BTS a digital letter. Oreo plans to gather those messages into what it is calling the world's largest love letter project.
BTS is currently on a world tour, with recent stops in Las Vegas. On Nov. 26, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the group took home three trophies at the 2026 American Music Awards, including the night's top honor, Artist of the Year. They also won Song of the Summer and Favorite Male K-Pop Artist. It is the group's second Artist of the Year win, following their first in 2021.

The campaign points to how deeply BTS now sits inside everyday American consumer culture. A Korean street snack, reimagined by a Korean group, is shipping to grocery aisles around the world under one of the most recognizable cookie brands on the planet.
