BTS Tops Global K-POPIT BOARD Ranking as 13th Anniversary Draws Fans Worldwide
BTS returned to the top of the K-POPIT BOARD rankings this week as the group's long-awaited reunion and 13th anniversary celebrations generated worldwide attention.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, the K-POP analytics index, BTS ranked No. 1 on the global rise chart on Monday with a Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 60.0. The group also ranked No. 4 on the domestic ranking with a Power Index (PWR_KR) score of 60.0. The Power Index combines data from music charts, social media activity and news coverage to measure overall momentum.
The surge comes as BTS celebrates its 13th debut anniversary as a complete group for the first time in several years. The milestone coincided with the opening of the group's "ARIRANG" World Tour in Busan, making the event particularly meaningful for both the members and fans.
Over two nights at Busan Asiad Main Stadium, BTS drew approximately 110,000 fans. The concerts carried additional significance as they were held in Busan, the hometown of members Jimin and Jungkook. Fans from across Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East traveled to South Korea to take part in the anniversary celebrations, transforming the city into a gathering place for ARMY from around the world.
BTS also gave fans something new during the Busan concerts, performing "Come Over" live for the first time. The song was released the day before as part of the deluxe vinyl edition of "ARIRANG" after fans repeatedly requested an official release.
The anniversary celebrations continued to drive conversation online throughout the week. Videos from the concerts, fan projects and photos from Busan spread across social media, while BTS's reunion remained one of the biggest topics in entertainment news both in Korea and abroad.
The group's strong showing on the global ranking highlights the scale of interest surrounding its return as a complete group. With the 13th anniversary, a new song and the launch of a world tour all taking place within the same week, fans around the world had plenty to celebrate.
Following the Busan concerts, BTS will take the "ARIRANG" World Tour to Europe, beginning with shows in Madrid, Spain, on June 26 and 27. The group is also scheduled to perform at the FIFA World Cup halftime show in North America on July 19 alongside global artists including Madonna and Shakira.
