South Korea's national soccer team lost to South Africa at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, and a video filmed from the stands by Korean YouTuber KwakTube is drawing attention online for a different reason. A man who appears to be Son Woong-jung, the father and longtime coach of Son Heung-min, was spotted in the crowd.

On the 25th, the YouTube channel "KwakTube" uploaded a video titled "A Vivid On-Site Report From the Brutal South Africa Match — Mexico (Final)." The video captured Kwak Tube watching the third Group A match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in person at Estadio Monterrey in Guadalupe, Mexico. The game kicked off the same day at 10 a.m. local time.

South Korea fell short of expectations and lost 0-1 to South Africa. Watching from his seat, Kwak Tube voiced his frustration with the team's performance. "The accuracy is way off across the board. There are too many players who need to be subbed out," he said.

As he filmed himself reacting to the match, a man believed to be Son Woong-jung appeared on camera several times in the stands behind him. He was seen standing up to follow the action and wearing a hardened expression at points during the game. The clips have spread quickly across online communities and social media.
