Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin's Son Spotted in Okinawa: "Most Beautiful Child I've Ever Seen"

A fan's chance encounter with actors Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin and their young son during a family vacation in Okinawa, Japan is drawing attention online. The notoriously private couple, who keep their child out of the spotlight, were spotted at a resort by another Korean traveler who shared the story on social media.

On the 25th, a user identified as A posted about the run-in on their personal account.

A wrote that they first noticed the family in passing. "I was on my way from the resort to the parking lot and stopped to film a horse," the user wrote. "On my right, I saw a family. The child was so beautiful it almost looked like an AI composite. I told my wife, 'That baby over there is so pretty.'"

At the time, the user said, they did not realize who the parents were. "I couldn't really see the parents, only the child, so I just kept looking at the baby," A wrote. "It was the most beautiful-looking child I've ever seen in my life."

The recognition came later, back at the accommodation. "I'd been staying in Okinawa for about a week, and I joked to my girlfriend that if Son Ye-jin and her husband were in Okinawa, they'd probably be staying at our hotel," A wrote. "Then I actually saw the two of them from behind at the hotel. Without thinking, I called out 'Ye-jin noona,' and they both turned around at the same time."

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, two of the most recognizable names in Korean film and television, married in 2022 after meeting on the set of the hit drama "Crash Landing on You." The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in November of the same year. They have rarely shared details about their family life, making even brief fan sightings the kind of moment that travels quickly through Korean social media.

The Okinawa post follows that pattern. What began as a casual vacation anecdote turned into one of the week's most-shared celebrity stories, less for what happened than for the rare glimpse it offered into the private world the couple has worked to protect.
