Tiffany Young Teases Big Girls' Generation 20th Anniversary Project for 2027
Girls' Generation's Tiffany Young hinted that the group is planning a major project for its 20th anniversary next summer. The singer shared the update during the November 27 broadcast of MBC's variety show "Point of Omniscient Interfere," which followed her daily life in her 19th year since debut.
Appearing in the studio, Tiffany Young said marriage has reshaped how she ends her days. "After getting married, I find the strength to wrap up the day and face tomorrow," she said. She added that Girls' Generation has marked each major milestone with group activities, including its 10th and 15th anniversaries, and that the members are preparing something big for their 20th anniversary next summer.
The episode also introduced her manager of six months, who described a packed calendar spanning musical theater, overseas tour stops, domestic shows, and album work. He said the schedule felt like a full year's worth of work compressed into half that time.
Tiffany Young's approach to vocal care drew particular attention. After experiencing vocal cord nodules twice in the past, she now visits an ear, nose, and throat clinic for a checkup every two weeks. The cameras caught her trading medical terminology with her doctor and reviewing anatomical images of the throat together. She also recalled getting a brain scan to check on her overall health. After a long stretch of detailed questions, her doctor told her she would not need to come back until her 50s, a moment that drew laughs in the studio.
Tiffany Young registered her marriage to actor Byun Yo-han in February. Word of the registration came just two months after the couple confirmed they were dating, prompting some speculation about a pregnancy, which she denied. She has continued working without a break since then, focusing on musical theater and live performances.
At rehearsals for the musical "Yumi's Cells," she was the first to arrive, warming up her body and running through her vocal exercises and blocking. Her manager described it as "time to sync her body to the musical's rhythm." She studied her costumes and props in detail, and even researched how the eyes of her character were drawn in the original webtoon to bring that look into her performance.
She kept the same focus during group rehearsals. The episode also showed her husband sending a yellow coffee truck to the set, choosing the show's signature color as a gesture of support. The mix of professional discipline and small personal moments drew strong reactions from viewers.
