Yoon Eun-hye Reveals She Hasn't Dated in 14 Years

Actor Yoon Eun-hye, a former member of K-pop girl group Baby V.O.X, says her last real relationship was 14 years ago.

Yoon appeared as a special MC on the November 28 episode of SBS's variety show "My Little Old Boy," a long-running program where celebrity moms watch and react to footage of their adult sons living single.

Born in 1984, Yoon told the panel she has not been in a serious relationship in 14 years. "I haven't dated since I was 29," she said. When comedian and former basketball player Seo Jang-hoon pushed back, asking, "What if you didn't think of it as dating, but the other person did?" Yoon laughed it off and replied, "Then I was the bad one."

Yoon said the people trying hardest to revive her dating life are her older Baby V.O.X groupmates. Their husbands, she said, often drop by the practice room. "The husbands are very sweet and affectionate, almost in a soft, caring way," she said. "At first I was envious. But sometimes they cross the line a little too much."

She added that the husbands are devoted to their wives. "They're all wife-obsessed. Mi-yeon's husband keeps showing me embarrassing photos of her and calling them cute. Even when she gets mad and tells him to stop, he doesn't. In moments like that, I think maybe being single is more comfortable."

Asked whether her bandmates' husbands had ever tried to set her up, Yoon pointed to another member instead. "There's an unnie who needs it more than I do," she said, referring to Lee Hee-jin, who has been single for 15 years.

The appearance gave fans a rare candid look at Yoon, who rose to fame in the late 1990s as part of Baby V.O.X, one of the defining girl groups of K-pop's first generation, before moving into acting. More than two decades on, her bond with the group remains a steady part of her public life, even when the subject is something as personal as her love life.
