EVAN Unveils Artistic Side in 'RIDE OR DIE' Teasers
EVAN has offered audiences a first glimpse into his new artistic identity ahead of his solo debut with the release of the first concept photos for his upcoming digital single "RIDE OR DIE."
Released through his official social media channels on June 14, the images place EVAN in a studio filled with musical instruments and recording equipment. This is meant to capture what his agency, BELIFT LAB, described as one of the most personal spaces for an artist. Furthermore, the pictures highlight the creative process behind his music while at the same time showcasing a more unfiltered side of the singer.
The visual themes of the concept pictures aim to highlight the emotional complexities that emerge during the songwriting and production process artists usually go through. This is seen through the concept pictures in which Evan is clearly seen singing, posing freely and reflecting a range of different emotions.
"RIDE OR DIE," which is scheduled to be released on June 22 at 6 p.m. KST, will serve as EVAN's debut as a solo artist, showcasing to listeners the musical direction that he plans to take in this new journey.
The digital release will consist of two tracks, the title track "Ride or Die" which is an alternative rock track that explores the longing for love. On the other hand, the B-side track "Overflow," is an indie-pop song that portrays complex emotions with a calmer approach.
EVAN reportedly participated in an extensive manner when it came to the creation of this project. It has thus earned him credits as a lyricist, composer and producer on both tracks, allowing him to showcase his songwriting and production abilities.
“RIDE OR DIE” will be released on major streaming platforms on June 22.
