Actor Ha Jung-woo is considering a role in the upcoming three-part film series Inside Men.

His agency, Walkhouse Company, confirmed the offer on Monday, stating, "Ha Jung-woo has received a proposal to appear in Inside Men and is currently reviewing it."

The project expands the 2015 hit film Inside Men, originally directed by Woo Min-ho, into a three-part cinematic series. Set in the late 1980s, the story explores the early days of a powerful cartel built on corrupt ties between the press, corporate conglomerates, and political elites. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by Yoon Tae-ho.

The series had originally lined up a star-studded cast including Song Kang-ho, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Soo Ae. However, after several of those actors exited the project, the production team began rebuilding the cast from scratch.

Hive Media Corp is producing. Directing duties will be shared by Kim Min-beom, whose credits as an assistant director include 12.12: The Day, and Kim Jin-seok, who previously assisted on The Man Standing Next. The screenplay is penned by Lee Gi-cheol, the writer behind hit films The Thieves, Assassination, and Harbin, while Kim Hyo-seok, who wrote Yadang: The Snitch, is handling the adaptation.

The production team plans to shoot the first and second installments back-to-back this year, with the third installment targeted for production next year.
